If youre in the habit of sending messages to people whore not your friends, then its safe to say that this is one habit which is going to cost you.
This cost was originally reserved for messages to celebrities, and high net-worth people on the site whore in very high demand, hence the cost for reaching them, however, its extension would now reach anyone whos not a friend.
The website has hitherto been free for anyone on the site, with messages to non-friends going to the "other" email box, and are treated as spam. . .

These latest changes will allow users to pay to prioritize their emails, sending them directly to the main inbox of their prospective friends.
And if you want to grab the attention of your idol or favourite star/celebrity, then youre going to have to pay more, with the charge scaled down or up depending on the level of popularity of the star.
Say you want to contact Barack Obama for instance. . . well, youd expect to pay a whole lot more for that cookie.
Facebook says this idea is designed to prevent spam being sent to users of the network, but analysts fear that it might mark the start of a more entrenched payment scheme for the social media site.
In other words: They fear we might begin paying for facebook in the near future.

Experts believe that by getting consumers credit card details for small purchases now, it means that they will be able to attract greater revenue in the future.
Olly Mann, a gadget columnist, said: "This is probably a prelude to something much more substantial.
"If they can charge for smaller features their hope is that they can start charging for main features later on."

Facebook recently updates its iPhone and android apps and now they changing look and feel for Facebook Messages page on the site.
The revamped look for Facebook messages has a side-by-side layout that means, the left hand side has a list of all the most recent conversations and messages, while the right has the entire conversation. Users now also have the option of adding multiple photos and emoticons to their messages.
Other feature that allow users to search messages for a specific friend via a search bar in left-hand side on the layout. Also users will be able to see the full list of available shortcuts, by typing Alt+Q on a PC or Control+Q on a Mac.
These updates will be available soon for all facebook users in coming weeks.

FOUNDER of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has unveiled a
campaign with global technology giants to connect billions
of people worldwide who lack access to the Internet.
A report by Agence France Presse (AFP) called the project
Internet.org. Its goal is to extend Internet access to five
billion people by cutting the cost of smartphone-based
Internet services in developing countries.
“There is no guarantee that most people will ever have
access to the Internet. It isn’t going to happen by itself,”
Zuckerberg, the 29-year-old billionaire founder of the
popular social network said in a statement.
“But I believe connectivity is a human right, and that if we
work together, we can make it a reality.”
Other partners in the project are Finland-based Nokia,
Sweden’s Ericsson, Samsung of South Korea, U.S.-based
Qualcomm, MediaTek of Taiwan and Norway’s Opera. U.S.-
based social networks Twitter and LinkedIn are also due to
sign up.
The organisers said some 2.7 billion people – just over a
third of the world’s population – have access to the Internet
today, and the number of new users is growing only slowly
each year.
“The goal of Internet.org is to make Internet access
available to the two-thirds of the world who are not yet
connected, and to bring the same opportunities to everyone
that the connected third of the world has today,” they said
in a statement.
The seven founding partners are going to develop joint
projects, share knowledge and mobilise governments and
industry to bring the world online.
Specifically, they want to simplify mobile apps to make
them more efficient and improve telephone components
and networks so they perform better while consuming less
energy.
They also want to develop lower-cost, higher-quality
smartphones and partnerships to more broadly deploy
Internet access in underserved communities.
Zuckerberg insisted in an interview with Cable News
Network (CNN) that the project was not simply aimed at
generating more customers.
“If we were just focused on making money, the first billion
people we’ve connected have way more money than the rest
of the next six billion combined. It’s not fair but it’s the way
that it is,” he said.
The partnership resembles one launched by Facebook in
2011 called Open Compute Project, which aims to improve
the materials used in call centers and make them less
energy-hungry.
That project was originally met with skepticism but has
gradually won over the major players in the computer
industry.
The latest plan marks an expansion in Zuckerberg’s interest
in public policy, months after he launched the advocacy
group Fwd.us to lobby for U.S. immigration and education
reform along with support for scientific research.
The new thrust comes at a key time for tech groups. Mature
markets are saturated, while poor regions have vast and
growing reservoirs of potential new customers.
“The Internet not only connects us to our friends, families
and communities, but it is also the foundation of the global
knowledge economy,” Zuckerberg said.
“By bringing everyone online, we’ll not only improve
billions of lives, but we’ll also improve our own as we
benefit from the ideas and productivity they contribute to
the world.”
His comments were echoed by heads of other companies
taking part in the initiative.
“We are committed to shaping the Networked Society —
where everyone and everything will be connected in real
time; creating the freedom, empowerment and opportunity
to transform society,” Hans Vestberg, president and chief
executive of Ericsson, said
MK Tsai, chairman of MediaTek, said: “Global Internet and
social media access represent the biggest shift since the
industrial revolution, and we want to make it all inclusive.”

Mungkin banyak tips dan trik mengenai bagaimana cara menghemat baterai pada LG P970 yang menggunakan ICS. Dari sekian banyak tips dan trik yang tersedia hanya sedikit orang yang memang benar berhasil menjalankannya. Mulai dari menggunakan aplikasi battery saver , cpu control, fast dormancy dan lain sebagainya hingga membuat banyak pengguna menjadi frustasi karenanya, begitu juga saya.
Sebelumnya saya pernah menulis tentang cara menghemat baterai pada ICS LG P970, namun langkah itu terasa kurang signifikan dampaknya bagi daya tahan baterai atau kurang sesuai dengan aplikasi lain di HP kita. Hal itu tentunya mendorong keinginan untuk mencoba berbagai versi firmware yang ada untuk membandingkan mana yang paling sesuai dan terbaik diantaranya.
Firmware yang hemat baterai terkadang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan kita atau kurang berkenan di hati karena adanya bugs sehingga memaksa kita untuk kembali memasang firmware ICS dengan satu harapan yaitu baterai dapat dihemat sedemikian rupa sehingga aktivitas keseharian tetap lancar tanpa rasa cemas yang berlebihan tentang baterai ponsel.
Baiklah, kali ini saya ingin berbagi mengenai trik terbaru saya gunakan saat ini untuk menghemat baterai pada ICS pada LG P970 dengan firmware versi V30C INDONESIA. System OS selalu mengkonsumsi baterai yang tinggi bahkan melebihi konsumsi baterai pada screen. Setelah diamati, CPU nyatanya terus bekerja dan bekerja meskipun dalam standby. Setelah diamati lebih lanjut, maka yang membuat aktivitas CPU bangun terus adalah android.com.mms.
Berikut Langkah-langkahnya bagaimana mendelete android.com.mms.
- Download Wakelock Detector (aplikasi ini berguna untuk melihat apakah memang benar yang menyebabkan CPU bekerja terus adalah android.com.mms atau tidak? jika iya , lanjutkan ke langkah berikutnya.
- Root hape (dapat di root menggunakan Unlockroot dan jika hape sudah di root lanjutkan saja ke langkah berikutnya)
- Download X-Plore
- Seting configuration pada x-plore dengan pilihan "Superuser + mout writable Superuser mode, which allows changes in read-only folder"
- Masuk ke directory Root/system/app/
- Centang LGMms.apk dan LGMms.odex
- Pindahkan ke SD Card dengan pilih Move. (Pilih move agar nantinya kita dapat kembalikan lagi jika memang perlu. )
- Download Textra untuk aplikasi SMS dan MMS sebagai ganti aplikasi bawaan yang telah di delete tadi.
- Matikan dan nyalakan ulang.
- Selesai , Semoga Berhasil.
Langkah serupa juga dapat dilakukan pada aplikasi lain yang memicu tingginya aktivitas CPU, tetapi jangan sembarang main hapus karena dapat menimbulkan bugs. Untuk beberapa aplikasi yang dapat di nonaktifkan pilihlah "nonaktifkan" pada pengaturan aplikasi.

Facebook Gifts launched Thursday to a subset of users in the U.S. and will roll out to more over the coming months as people begin to send gifts to each other.
Users will be able to click on a "gifts" icon on their Facebook friends pages on Facebooks website or on Android mobile phones. (iPhone and iPad versions are coming soon.)
The icon will also show up on the right side of users Facebook pages with the notifications for friends birthdays, weddings and other life events. For example, if your friends birthday is coming up in two days, youll now see a "give her a gift" link and the gift icon next to her name and photo.
Clicking the icon will display presents you can buy, such as a Starbucks gift card, cupcakes or a teddy bear.
The recipient will be notified through Facebook to enter a shipping address for the presents. In some cases, theyll be able to select their own cupcake flavors or size and style of socks. They can also exchange gifts for other items if they dont like chocolate or dont wear socks.
The move represents Facebook Inc.s first real foray into e-commerce. The company will take an unspecified cut from each item sold. On Thursday, possible gifts included gourmet ice cream, Andy Warhol prints, flowers, organic dog toys and spa packages.
Facebook Gifts is the result of Facebooks acquisition of Karma, a 16-person startup based in San Francisco. Facebook bought the company on May 18, the day of its rocky initial public offering. Karmas mobile app let people send gifts to their friends on the go. Facebook Gifts, of course, works both on computers and mobile devices.
Lee Linden, the former head of Karma, is now head product manager for Facebook Gifts, which he says incorporates "the heart and soul of the Karma experience."
"We think gifting is a form of communication," he said.

Fukushima 50 is the name given to a group of employees of the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant. When a nuclear accident resulted in a serious fire at the plants unit 4 on 15 March 2011. These 50 employees remained on-site after 750 other workers were evacuated...battle radiation leaks and fires, even at risk of not surviving. Their activities included assessing the damage and radiation levels caused by the explosions, cooling stricken reactors with seawater and preventing any risk of fire. No one doubts the bravery of the Fukushima Fifty, they have voluntarily exposed themselves to potentially fatal levels of radiation.
They only eat two meals a day, emergency high-energy biscuits for breakfast, and quick-boiled rice and canned food for dinner. The workers are restricted to packaged food because of radiation contamination fears, Reuters reported. They stuff the food into their mouths once they open the packets to avoid contact with radiation. In the evenings, they gather around in a safe room to cheer "Lets do our best!" and clap once, before wrapping themselves with blankets and going to sleep on the floor in rows "packed together like sardines".
Their heart-rending messages home were made public by Japanese national television, which has interviewed their relatives.
The sacrifice of these men has earned them the admiration of the Japanese public. They are perhaps Japan’s last chance of preventing a broader nuclear catastrophe.
