Twitter application for BlackBerry  has now been released as public beta version. BlackBerry  users worldwide now can download and try Twitter application in the Blackberry smartphone. Users can download applications from the BlackBerry App World or by visiting mobile.blackberry.com from BlackBerry smartphone devices. Twitter for BlackBerry is available for BlackBerry smartphones that use the version of BlackBerry OS 4.5 or higher with at least a 64-MB built-in memory (minimum is 750 KB).


Active BlackBerry users need a data plan with internet access services to access the application. The cost for data access imposed on users who have limited data access. Twitter application for BlackBerry was previously available as a limited preview since February and has been released today in public beta version to include several new features based on feedback from users during the preview ago.

- Users can post photos from within the application, BlackBerry camera phones, or from the media card as part of a new Tweet

- Users can edit their own profile or change their profile picture from the application

- Users can send directly messages from web sites that use the URL from the browser (support bit.Ly support)
